Puno is an aproppiate place to appreciate the biggest folkloric show, showing it's title as being the folkloric capital of Peru.
In Puno they know more than 300 typical dances, for their location they are divided in Aymara and Quechua dances. The dances of character autochthonous tipicaly of rural character and dances of colonial origin that satirize the Spanish conquerors to the mestizo dances exist.


These art representations have shown permanently in the Highland, where the residents express their feelings during of the artistic creation that interprets diverse passages of their life.



We have a very wide calendar of festivities and we should mention the main and most spectacular of all, the very sacred Virgin of the patron Candlemas of Puno, taking place in the month of February.
